Good news! I took Eric to the doctor yesterday and hopefully have him all squared away. He has double ear infections and the beginnings of bronchitis. Luckily we caught it in time so he just has a yucky cough now that should be going away soon. I had to take him to care now last month and they misdiagnosed him with swimmer's ear. So, while the medicines helped a little, it still didn't clear up. Hopefully now he'll get all cleared up and start feeling 100% better soon.
We also have hot water now so we are no longer the Clampits (sp?). The part for our hot water heater came in tonight so we don't have to boil hot water in order to bathe! Yay! Man, modern convenience sure is taken for granted until we no longer have them!
On a good note, I am completely finished with my Christmas cards and pictures. I went to Walmart yesterday and printed them out. They came out so great! I'm really excited to have a good camera after having a sucky one for so long. I'll upload some pics soon.

Ok, so maybe I'm not as good at this as I thought I would be. It seems that I am only good at updating this when I am home sick. Today Eric is sick again. It doesn't help that it was 70 degrees yesterday and 30 today. I think he has another ear infection and some kind of throat infection. The poor guy. He's 10 now, I thought they grew out of this sort of thing by now. Oh yeah, and our hot water heater decided to go out again today. Why does this always happen when it is freezing outside?
Well, Christmas is just about here and we have such crazy schedules now that seem to go along with this time of year. Breanna's big dance performance is this weekend. She is practicing everynight from 5:30 to 8:30. But, she enjoys dance and I know she'll have a good time this weekend. Especially at the after party. Maya, our Chihuahua is so cold right now. When she gets cold she likes to sit on your feet so she doesn't have to touch the floor. She has been buried under the blankets with Eric all morning. It works out for both of them, keeping each other warm. The day after Christmas we are going down to see my Grandaddy for the first time ever (long story) and we will have to leave Maya behind. Carlos' mom has volunteered to watch her while we are gone. Maya is deaf and if you don't stay on top of taking her outside, she will have accidents. I'm not so sure how this will go over with my father-in-law. I'm sure Catalina is going to enjoy spoiling her though and everything will be fine.
TTFN! Gotta get ready to take Eric to the dr.

First time
Well this is my first time ever to have a blog spot for our family. Currently I am 32 years old and am married to Carlos (38). I truelly believe that we were brought together for a reason. We are both very lucky to have met each other at such a young age. We are best friends and have a great relationship that has grown over the years into a friendship as well as a bond.
Carlos is a systems administrator at a charter school in Dallas. He really enjoys his job and is good at all of that computer stuff. He is my handy guy. He just knows how to do just about everything! He can cook, sew, work on cars, fix a leaky faucet or build a kickin computer. I really lucked out when I married him. I joke that I am just arm candy since I really can't do any of those. He is a great dad to our kids. He really loves them and enjoys taking them camping or fishing. Carlos loves helping out with scouting too. He helped Eric get his Webelos badge 5 months before he actually turned 11. A Webelos usually has 2 yrs to get his badge and Eric did it in 7 months.
We are blessed to have 3 kids. Matt is Carlos' 15 year old son. We don't get to see him so much since he is 15 and he lives with his mom. He plays football for Grand Prairie High and spends most of his time with his girlfriend and friends. So, we are last on the list. I remember being 15 and at that age you really aren't concerened about spending time with your family.
Eric is 10 right now. He is a Webelo in his cub scout pack and in the 5th grade. He collects dragons, I think he's up to 20 now. Eric is a typical 10 yr old when it comes to playing on the Wii, or his gameboy, or watching movies. At his school Eric is in the chess club, art club, and choir. He is a very helpful young man and really likes to please people. He doesn't like to get into trouble so for the most part he does what he's supposed to do so he doesn't get yelled at.
Breanna is 9. I know, they are close together. Breanna has so much life in her. She loves to dance, roller skate, run, ride her bike, search for bugs, and take care of animals. She really enjoys spending time with her friends at church and her family. Breanna is really good at taking care of those smaller than she is. Whether it be children or animals, Breanna likes to take care of them.
Now I guess it's my turn. Like I said above, I am currently 32. I work for a concrete company in Irving Tx and love my job. I love the people I work with and have worked there for 8 yrs now. I am the Cub master over pack 540 in Grand Prairie and although I reluctantly agreed to do it, I kind of enjoy it. I really don't have much to do with the actual scouting process, I am the administrative person behind the scene that keeps up with advancement and the achievements that our boys get. I do have to plan a pack meeting once a month and that can get stressful trying to keep them lively but not out of hand. In my free time (ha ha) I like to read, scrapbook, and make cards. I haven't been able to do it in a while due to all the things I have going on right now. I love being a mom and am so thankful for the two children my Heavenly Father has blessed me with.
I think this is enough for now, I don't want to write a book as my first post. Why would anyone keep checking back if all I have to write about is the same ol' stuff?
